Lords of the Lateral

The second page of Season 3 is entered into the record, and the Realm has already begun to divide. Two Houses remain unbeaten. Two remain without victory. Eight stand between them at 1-1. Week 2 brought a brother's opening barrage, a Dragon's ignition, a trade that turned cruel almost immediately, and the first real echoes of the lore each House carries into the campaign.

The Opening Decrees

State of the Realm

Week 1 opened with six undefeated Houses. One week later, only two remain: Stroud of Darkness and Tsuenami Mami. At the opposite end stand Jake and North Medford Nightmare at 0-2, though those records carry very different meanings. Nightmare entered the season in a deliberate rebuild. Jake entered it pressing for more.

Between them sits almost the entire Realm. Parmesan Paladins, Forward Progress, The Diamond Horde, DolosDawgz, Flaming Dragon, The Reckoning, Outworld Order, and Mystic River Mayehem are all 1-1. The three Houses reconstituted before Season 3 - Parmesan Paladins, The Reckoning, and Outworld Order - all won their openers. All three were answered in Week 2.

The previous Crown holders split their fortunes as well. Reigning champion Mystic River Mayehem recovered from its opening defeat. Season 1 champion North Medford Nightmare, rebuilding beneath the SkullRift Peaks, remains winless.

House of the Week: Stroud of Darkness

Forward Progress tried to end the Brother's War before the weekend truly began. Lord Craig's forces erupted for nearly 80 points Thursday night, building the sort of advantage that can make the rest of a fantasy weekend feel procedural.

It was not enough. Forward Progress finished with 162.80 - the highest losing score of Week 2 - but Stroud of Darkness answered with a league-best 187.34. The victory moves the CinderHeart to 2-0 and gives Stroud 379.96 points through two weeks, the highest total in the Realm. Sleeper's weekly report shows just how cleanly both brothers managed it: Stroud converted 92.5% of its 202.60 maximum, while Forward converted 92.4% of 176.20.

Week 1 closed by saying Stroud had marched with purpose. Week 2 demanded something different: endurance. The EverMarch struck first. The CinderHeart struck last.

We Remain.

The First Blows

Mystic River Mayehem 134.30, Jake 104.60. The reigning champion found its first victory and returned to 1-1, while the FrostSpire fell to 0-2. Mayehem also delivered the week's most efficient lineup, scoring 134.30 of 137.20 possible points - a 97.9% conversion. A week after the Ledger noted that one game could not settle the April Irving-Harrison exchange, Marvin Harrison Jr. played a full game and produced 0.00 for Jake. The trouble did not stop there. Jake also acquired Dallas Goedert from North Medford Nightmare for Cole Kmet and a second-round pick; Goedert was immediately injured in his first game for the FrostSpire and finished with fewer than two points. Jake's Ledger entry has always called him Unbothered and notes that, where others panic, he presses buttons just to see what happens. Jake kept pushing buttons. Week 2 pushed back.

Flaming Dragon 185.18, North Medford Nightmare 90.54. Nightmare is rebuilding, so an 0-2 opening beneath the SkullRift Peaks is not the alarm here. The story belongs to Lord Paul. Flaming Dragon was Week 1's Underachiever of the Week after managing only 109.86. Seven days later, the PyreWastes produced 185.18, the second-highest total in the Realm. Jared Goff scored 38.38 and Jonathan Taylor added 32.00, and Flaming still erupted despite receiving almost nothing from Jayden Reed before injury intervened. The Crown Ledger says the House is calm only before ignition. Apparently Week 1 was the calm.

When We Rise, We Burn.

DolosDawgz 159.08, The Reckoning 140.58. DolosDawgz answered its Week 1 loss with 159.08 and returned to level ground. The Reckoning remained competitive at 140.58, but the night turned into a battle against attrition. D. Moore was injured early, and Jaxson Dart was then injured early Monday night, extinguishing much of Brett's remaining comeback path. These were in-game injuries, not lineup mistakes. For Dolos, the banner already warned the Realm: Nothing Is as It Seems. For The Reckoning, the callback was considerably crueler.

The Hour Comes for All. This week, the hour came for The Reckoning.

The Diamond Horde 140.78, Outworld Order 120.64. The Horde scored 167.10 in Week 1 and received nothing for it but the week's highest score in defeat. Week 2 finally rewarded another strong showing. Malik Nabers contributed only 1.10, but Diamond held together and earned the 140.78-120.64 victory. Through two weeks, the Pressure Vaults have produced 307.88 points. Outworld, meanwhile, followed its 169.64-point opener with 120.64 and joins the Realm's enormous 1-1 middle.

Pressure Creates Us.

Tsuenami Mami 149.08, Parmesan Paladins 123.74. Week 1 asked only whether Tsuenami could endure. Week 2 asked the question again. Puka Nacua was ruled out late Monday, leaving Lady Susan without a viable replacement and an intentionally vacant starting WR position. Tsuenami still scored 149.08, won by 25.34, and moved to 2-0. The empty slot may still become a separate matter for the Steward under the bylaws; the competitive result stands on its own. Parmesan, Week 1's House of the Week at 205.74, fell to 123.74 - an exact 82.00-point drop - but remains among the Realm's strongest cumulative scorers through two weeks.

You Cannot Outrun the Tide.

At the FrostSpire

Jake's Week 2 loss carries more weight because the House has not been passive. The offseason brought Marvin Harrison Jr. to the FrostSpire. Week 2 brought another move: Dallas Goedert from rebuilding North Medford Nightmare in exchange for Cole Kmet and a second-round pick.

For Nightmare, the transaction converts a veteran asset into a younger tight end and future draft capital, consistent with a rebuilding direction. For Jake, the immediate return was brutal: Goedert was injured almost at once and scored under two points. That does not decide the trade. It does, however, make the timing impossible to ignore.

By the Numbers

Overachiever of Week 2: Stroud of Darkness, scoring 31.38 points above its 155.96 starter projection.

Most efficient manager: Mystic River Mayehem, converting 97.9% of its available 137.20 points (134.30 scored).

Highest score in defeat: Forward Progress, 162.80.

Underachiever of Week 2: Parmesan Paladins, finishing 42.33 points below its 166.07 starter projection.

Largest victory: Flaming Dragon by 94.64 points.

Narrowest victory: DolosDawgz by 18.50 points.

Week 2 Honors

Not all of the week's production reached a starting lineup. Matthew Stafford (34.78), Treveyon Henderson (16.80), Tre Tucker (22.90), and Dalton Schultz (32.00) led Sleeper's bench scoring by position.

Week 2 Standings

The opening week announced the Realm. Week 2 began to reveal its character. Stroud has answered every challenge with points and near-maximal lineup efficiency. Tsuenami has answered adversity with survival. Flaming Dragon has answered a stumble with fire. Diamond has answered pressure by holding. Mayehem found the cleanest lineup of the week. And at the FrostSpire, the buttons continue to tempt.

Two weeks do not decide a dynasty season. But by Week 3, every House now carries something into the next battle: momentum, pressure, expectation, or the need to answer.
